APRC’s Tombong Jatta Throws Punches at Justice Minister over Jammeh’s Assets

Former ruling party bigwig Fabakary Tombong Jatta has let rip into justice minister Ba Tamabadou over the sale of ex-president Yaya Jammeh’s assets.

A Gambian court ordered for halt in the auctioning of Jammeh’s asset seized last year.

Proceeds realised from those sales have already been given out as compensation to some of the ex-leader’s victim in a move for reparation.

On the heels of the court’s order, APRC’s top dog Tombong has unleashed blows berating Gambia’s justice minister who took initiative to sell off the aforesaid properties.

“I said it here at EyeAfrica Tv that it is illegal to sell Jammeh’s properties but they did not listen.

“Ba Tambadou likes to parade himself as he stands for justice, democracy and all of that. But when he was confronted with the truth, he shifted the blame to Barrow. And this is a man we said is a legal mind,” Tombong Jatta said hours ago at an APRc presser.

55-year-old Jammeh is currently in Equatorial Guinea on exile after fleeing in 2017 after pressure from regional bloc Ecowas.
