CONFIRMED: Ba Tambadou Quits, New Man Named Justice Minister

Ba Tambadou has called it quits with Barrow’s government, Gambia News understands.

This follows wild speculation on the heels of Ba’s visit to the presidential palace today in which he is believed to have tendered his resignation letter to Barrow.

Ba’s departure leaves a new void but that vacancy has been filled forthwith after a dispatch from state house minutes ago announcement Dawda Jallw as the new justice minister.

Criticised throughout his time in the justice ministry, Ba is also credited for setting the Janneh, TRRC and Faraba commissions to help address injustice including crimes committed under Jammeh’s 22-year watch.

“With his guidance, we have now transformed our judiciary in particular and the administration of justice system in general into a truly independent and robust organ of the State that all Gambians should be proud of,” head of state Barrow said in a statement.
