This Gambian Striker Does Not Want to Play for this BIG European Club

Ali Sowe would have been teammates with former Bayern Munich midfielder Luis Gustavo but it appears he has other ideas.

Being Gambia’s all-time leading striker in Europe, Sowe has been putting in brilliant performances week after week after week, sparking interest from Fenerbahce of the Turkish Super Lig.

The Serrekunda United former striker has scored ten times in the Bulgarian Premier League and is one of the top goal-getters there. He is behind his club, CSK Sofia’s rise this football season with his goals a major contributing factor.

As a result Fenerbahce, who have former Brazilian international Gustavo in their ranks, have trailed Sowe but the scorpion wants to stay put to honour his contract for now.

“Yes, I will stay at CSKA next season. My contract with my club continues until 2022 and I focus on my matches. My only thought is to focus on matches with CSKA,” he said today just three months after Africa’s most successful club Al Ahly of Egypt placed over 289million Gambian dalasis to sign him.
