Former Gambia Artiste of the Year ST has urged fans remain vigilant and reduce handshakes in bids to curtail the deadly coronavirus.
The West Coast Region-based singer has been involved in an awareness campaign over the pandemic.
Gambia have one confirmed positive case of the epidemic spanning back December last year in China where its has morphed into a global menace infecting close to 200,000.
“We Need to reduce handshakes and wash our hands with soap thoroughly. Even if you don’t have hand sanitiser please just use our local soap to wash your hands with and keep a solid personal hygiene,” he told his legion of fans in a footage made public by the presidency’s social media page.
Music shows have been halted including public gatherings as Gambia finally goes under lock down for 21 days to combat the deadly virus.
