Deposed Gambian king of music ST Brikama Boyo has lifted the lid over circumstances that had him hugging the headlines for the wrong reasons.
The 32-year-old got mired in trouble after his wife Binta came out launching a scathing attack on him.
The West Coast Region-based singer’s better half accused him of having a fling with fellow mic-star and dancehall diva Sophia Byass whom she claimed devalued their marital home by having an affair with her on their bedding.
Binta also revealed she was battered by ST causing her miscarriage – a revelation that cost Brikama Boyo his deal with an activist association and sparked public outrage towards a singer who months before the incident released a collabo with Jaliba Kuyateh advising against wife-battering.
And lifting the lid over the saga and putting to rest assertion he’s abusive, ST said: ‘Marriage is not easy, a lot have been said but one thing, women are like gold and they deserve to be treated good no matter what circumstances, we (men) are lucky to be their heads for that been the case, we should be their protection.”
