Stranded Gambians Leave Lebanon At Last!

It’s a huge sigh of relief for Gambians who’ve had to endure staying trapped in Lebanon after taking off for Banjul today.

The flight took off hours ago according to Lovette Jallow, the philanthropist who stepped in to facilitate their safe return.

Those on board are believed to be over thirty including children , also part of those stranded in Beirut having wait for months for government’s intervention.

Story about how they stayed on there all this while on the side of government has been somewhat inconsistent amid online attacks on Barrow’s leadership for failing to rescue the women.

Videos this week surfaced of the women alleging they were forced to sign documents by Gambia’s government at its consulate where their papers were processed.

Lovette, the brain behind end to the women’s misery, and her NGO confirmed hours ago interviews won’t be granted to the waiting press once the women touch down in Banjul.
