Government to Setup Quarantine Centre in North Bank

Gambia’s government is on the verge of setting up a quarantine centre in the North Bank River Region.

A hotel has already been identified there which is yet to be named and work remain in progress towards finalisation of the process.

The isolated centre being erected there is meant to ease transportation burden of carrying suspects to the capital for testing.

“People coming from North Bank you want to cross them to Banjul here to Bakau will be very inconvenient. So we are going to use one of the hotels there. The relevant invoices have been collected towards that,” Momodou Njie director of health promotions said today evening.

Gambia have ten confirmed cases of the coronavirus with one dead.
