“We Don’t Have A Music Industry,” Says Jizzle

Jizzle believes Gambia do not have a thriving music industry.

Success of a particular country’s music hinges hugely on the support base including news on ins and outs of the showbiz arena dubbed industry.

And Jizzle thinks Gambia is lacking massively in this sector with artistes usually having to foot bills of their own music projects.

“Artistes go through a lot of challenges in the music scene and help rarely comes. We do not have a music industry,” the Bakau-born tells Pan-Africa-Music.

Contracted to Africell, Jerreh Jallow has just released his Work and Pray song, and typical of his vibe, reminisced his rise from the streets to his recent meeting with Gambia’s head of state Adama Barrow.

November last year, the S.O.S graduate and father-of-one pulle doff a huge 30,000 sold out crowd in his Scorpion album concert, and fetched huge bucks out of it.
