CORONAVIRUS: Gambia Ban All Sporting Activities

Gambia have banned all sporting activities as momentum to combat coronavirus gathers pace.

The Smiling Coast yesterday this time announced its first positive case of the deadly coronavirus amid growing worry over public safety.

149 of 355 persons have been cleared of carrying the pandemic while 206 more are isolated at a time public institutions have also ceased work.

Gambia were due to face Arsenal’s Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Gabon initially scheduled for March 26th in Libreville for the first of a double-legged encounter.

However, the encounter had to be put off until June or September by organisers the Confederation of African Football (CAF) over the covid-19.

Football league games and other domestic sporting activities have been put to a pause for 21 days as reality dawns on Barrow’s government over their handling of illness.
