Sheriff Sinyan is on the verge of playing Uefa Champions League football which is Europe’s biggest club tournament.
The defensive midfielder has become a regular for Norwegian former Premier League champions after joining them this season.
Sinyan is expected to start in their tussle up against Azerbaijan Premier League club Qarabag in the third round qualifiers.
A win will see them reach the play-offs where victory will all but assure a place in the group stage proper.
Sinyan is called up for Gambia’s friendly with Guinea Conakry in October but is tipped to miss the fixture during relevant club fixtures.
