Sampdoria today evening said they wouldn’t be revealing any further details about situation of their players regarding the Coronavirus, Gambia News can report.
The Serie A outfit yesterday claimed Omar Colley was part of four of its players reported to have contacted the pandemic that has affected over 130,000 people globally.
Fear was the underlining tone when Sampdoria named the 27-year-oldGambian as one of affected stars leading the centre-back into releasing an audio message sent to Gambia News denying the claims.
According to Colley he has just a slight sore throat and NOT coronavirus, revealing it was his club’s way of blocking him from coming to play for Gambia’s versus Gabon – a match cancelled hours later by CAF.
And aware of the confusion their initial release has created, Sampdoria said they’re withholding information regarding their players, but hinted all the players are recovering at home.
