A health official says torrents of invective are being heaped on them by the public through the coronavirus hotline.
1025 is a hotline set up for alerts to ensure easy reporting of onpossible cases of the deadly virus for health officials to act swiftly.
However, it turned out some unscrupulous individuals, some of them kids, are phoning in to launch foul mouthed expletives at the health call centre.
“Some people, some of them kids, are calling the line to insult those at the centre which is not purpose for the line. The public should help us greatly. Coronavirus is not a joke, it kills and has no cure,” Modou Njie director of health education and promotion said minutes ago on GRTS.
