Gambia have registered a second new case today in the space of just two days.
The disturbing revelation was made an hour ago by director of health services Mustapha Bittaye in his daily situation report.
The patient was reported through the 1025 hotline after she exhibited symptoms of the illness, becoming Gambia’s first non-imported corona case.
“The new case was reported through the 1025 call line by virtue of her displaying symptoms similar to the Covid-19. She has no travel history to an affected country and she has no history contact to a confirmed case.
This followed 22 samples examined from the laboratory with 21 proving negative.
