Amadou Vypa has returned fire at Gee doubling the amount the Gambia Music Union boss offered for his rap duel with Chanta.
Gee today had tongues wagging when he provoked Vypa by pitting him with up-and-coming singer Chanta.
Typically controversial, Gee wrote out Vypa’s name in dollar notes -believed to be worth 500,000 Gambian dalasis -proposing Vypa takes on Chanta, christened Dodou Loum.

Stipulating 9pm tonight as the deadline when the stake would have expired, Gee proposed Xmyls and Wagan to oversee the contest.
Apparently provoked, Amadou took the saga to a whole new level and, in the process, upstaged his tormentor, by spreading wads of cash worth a million dalasis in a more-than-enough aim at a return fire at the Pipeline-based singer.

A video posted shows Vypa urging fans remain calm in what, if it sees light of day, will be one of the biggest staged rap battle the last decade.

As anticipated, there is already clout surrounding this latest display of craze by Gambian artistes and perhaps knocks off its perch initial belief stars from the Smiling Coasts are cash-strapped.
