
A Gambian footballer has been named the best player of an English club.
Ibou Touray, born in the United Kingdom, has been a stand out for Salford City, the club owned by Manchester United greats, the Neville brothers and Paul Scholes.
Touray was one of the players in fact given a renewed contract despite the release of some stars due to covid-19 stress on the club’s economic situation.
The left-back and ex- Everton Academy graduate was also voted the fans’ best player in reward for his tremendous performances this season.
The 25-year-old has represented Gambia national team thrice.
