A worker who died from a collapse at a construction site in Malta has been finally identified as a Gambian soldier.
Sarjo Konteh last week met his untimely death at Bormla construction where he was a migrant worker.
Sarjo, described a “good boy” by a friend, was out carrying out his daily task when a wall collapsed on him tragically ending his life.
News of his demise have left his friends shocked.
Investigation have been ongoing into his background and it turned out today he once served as a soldier with Gambia’s National Army.
Sarjo arrived in Malta having taken the perilous journey by boat where he had lived until his death.
