
A couple of Muslim sisters have caused stir this week after footage emerged of them allegedly stealing.
The women were caught on a shop-lifting spree after CCTV images showed some tucking material wears underneath their clothes.
An amount of about USD6,000 is believed to have gone missing at the said Serrekunda shop.
Police have opened probing into the incident leading to arrests with Kumba Secka and Mai Baldeh reported to be the suspects’ names.
“The public is further informed that appropriate actions will follow in accordance with the Laws of The Gambia.The Inspector General of Police urges people to desist from stealing and all forms of crime particularly as we draw closer to the Koriteh feast,” a police statement said, revealing investigation is ongoing.
