How Gambia Is Preparing for Algeria’s Test Match Tomorrow ahead of the Afcon

Belgian gaffer Tom Saintfiet is solid with his charges ahead of tomorrow’s game in what’s a preparatory outing ahead of the Scorpions’ debut in the Africa Cup of Nations billed for Cameroon.

The Saint summoned some pre-selection predicted names but dropped Aint Know It’s players Abubakary Kante and Norway-based Sheriff Sinyan with a club-less Bubacarr Sanneh preferred as the latter’s like-for-like replacement while Yusupha Bobb surprisingly makes the cut.

The squad is based in Doha with the aces putting the finer details to their campaign.

The Desert Foxes are a solid team for the Scorpions to test their guns on after their previous exhibition meeting wrapped up a stalemate.

Musa Barrow, Assan Ceesay and Dembo Darboe are expected to lead the line as the Belgian struggles finding way of pitting his lead strikers in one form which could include the rigorous Muhammed Badamosi.

In a footage shared on the Gambia Football Federation Facebook timeline, Musa Barrow aimed a shot at goalie Modou Jobe’s goal that meandered through the net while winger Ebrima Colley’s effort rattled on the crossbar.

Goalie Baboucarr Gaye was seen chatting away with Ebrimba Darboe and rest of his team mates.

The duel is expected to take place at 8pm local Gambian time against Algeria.

Gambia last lost 2-0 to New Zealand. The Scorpions face Mali, Tunisia and Mauritania.
