Gambia’s new army chief Yankuba Drammeh has gone into self-isolation after it emerged he boarded the same flight as the country’s first positive covid-19 patient.
The Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) was out of the nation’s shores but returned last Sunday on the same Royal Maroc flight that carried the coronavirus confirmed victim.
Drammeh was examined upon arrival at the Banjul International Airport but showed no symptoms of the pandemic currently eating into the world.
However, he was forced into a 14-day isolation a thing of which he has already began upon revelation of a confirmed corona case, Army spokesperson Major Lamin Sanyang reveals about minutes ago.
