“Alhamdullilah, Good News,” Gambians React as 2 Patients Recover from Coronavirus

Gambians have been reacting over the discharge of two patients after they’ve recovered from the deadly coronavirus.

It followed health minister Lamin Samateh’s revelation that the first positive case, a 28-year-old Gambian based in the UK have recuperated along with a septuagenarian who arrived in the country from France.

Adding to this is, five separate tests conducted yesterday have been declared negative.

The trajectory means Gambia has just one outstanding case after the demise of the Bangladeshi preacher who died in the ambulance on the way to hospital.

So I repeat, the first and the third COVID-19 cases in The Gambia are declared to have recovered from the disease as confirmed by the two consecutive negative tests and these individuals have been discharged from the hospitals,” Health minister Samateh told the local press in his routine briefing today.

Reactions to this have been epic.

” Thanks you people are trying very well, Let’s all respect the law,” Dawda Leigh said.

Junior Joof added: ” Alhamdoullah thanks and praises to the Almighty .”

” That is good news ,” Alagie Njie said in reply.
