Up to 46 Gambians are said to be stranded overseas, says Gambia’s ministry of foreign affairs.
This follows the ongoing global lock down in desperate measures to combat the deadly coronavirus.
Government prior to ordering a total lock down gave out directives for Gambians to return home.
However, not most have been able to heed to the call with forty-six Gambians trapped outside of the country’s shores.
Of this figure, 23 are in Senegal including seven children 10 in Mali, 3 in Malaysia, 4 in London, and 6 in Nigeria, according to a document released by the aforesaid ministry.
