
A couple of Gambians are reported to have contacted the pandemic coronavirus but have recuperated in the US.
In a detailed dossier prepared in response to concerns over welfare of Gambians abroad in the wake of the covid-19, Barrow’s government claim some Gambians in North Carolina had the ailment but have recovered.
Only two Gambians are believed to have died the document, made pubic hours ago, revealed.
“In North Carolina few Gambians caught the virus but certainly with mild symptoms and have fully recovered. In New York, the number of affected Gambians is not yet established but the confirmed victims either fully recovered or are recovering well,” the report said.
At home, Gambia have ten confirmed cases with six currently active with one death.
