Up to Nineteen Senegalese fishermen were intercepted for encroaching into Gambian waters, Gambia News understands.
The fishermen where on board huge canoes and spotted at sea before the Gambian navy made for them in hot pursuit and arrested them.
The group were later repatriated, according to Gambia Army spokesperson Major Lamin Sanyang.
