Marie Sock has come out fighting after barrage of attacks launched on her recently by critics questioning her qualifications.
A Gambian media outlet some days ago got under the skin of the property-seller aspiring independent candidate after they posted a letter from a school in the US refuting ever issuing a degree to Ms Sock.
The publication, as predicted, angered members of Sock’s team who threatened to institute action against the site – a thing the outlet laughed off.
However, Marie is convinced the hating being spewed at her are mechanisms aimed at derailing her plans, insisting it’s all because she is a woman.
“I know what I have put myself through, and I am determined to take all the beatings, the shame, the agony, the disgrace, insults and humiliation, because I Am A Strong Woman,” he said minutes gao.
“This is normal for me, I have been through it all, the abuse, the hatred, the misconceptions of who I really am! In other to make it in life, one must develop a thick skin and FOCUS. When people can’t find any dirt on you, they will develop other strategies, false news, damage control mechanism towards an opponents. What is sad is that the masses tends to believe anything they see on social media without verifying the authenticity.
“Ladies and gentlemen, NEVER, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy. What doesn’t break you makes you stronger.
“Some people’s lack of determination to follow their own dreams will often find ways to discourage yours. When you change for the better, the people around you will be inspired to change also….but only after doing their best to make you stop. Live your truth and don’t EVER stop,” she adds.
Marie is the sole woman this minute among a league of men vying in the race to grab State House next year.
