A Gambian reporter has been taken into custody while on duty.
Ebou N. Keita was nabbed by police as they swoop in on drivers unwilling to stick to the stipulated fare tariff.
Keita was first told to halt filming before another security personnel snatched his phone off, cuffed him and bundled him into their waiting vehicle.
According to his media outlet, operatives ignored his plea for the cuff be loosen despite complaining of their tightness.
Ebou’s mates trying to capture the dramatic scenes were intimidated by officers before he was taken to Bundung Police Station, the GTTV said.
