
Government have enriched its coffers by raking in some decent 37million dalasis from the sale of old airplanes.
It followed enquiries by one of the deputies at the ongoing session in parliament.
Session was till ongoing at press time as finance minister Mambury Njie faced legislators in a questions and answers format.
Government pocketed first over D12 million dalasis from the two worn out crafts in May 2018.
“The twin airplanes that have already been sold to the tune of US$240,000 in May 2018. Another three scrap airplanes were also sold for US$500,000 sometime in 2019.
“Everything was guided by the civil aviation, works and transports. These are old aircraft,” Mambury Njie said.
