
President Adama Barrow has been left shaken after three of his cabinet members contracted coronavirus.
The Gambian leader’s self-isolation began last Wednesday after his deputy Isatou Touray got infected with the pandemic.
Yesterday evening, news leaked out that three ministers namely of finance, agriculture and energy Mamabury Njie, Fafa Sanyang and Amie Fabureh have tested positive respectively.
The development comes as a huge blow as the human-killer disease descends on Gambia’s presidential palace in which more confirmed cases are expected to announced today.
It comes after government announced banning of public gatherings, mandatory use of face mask in a swift return to lock down.
