“I Cried When I Was Asked Out of A Cabinet Meeting,” Barrow’s Spokesperson Reveals How She Got State House Job

Amie Bojang has revealed touching moments of how she got given a job at Gambia’s presidential palace.

Bojang got herself entangled in politics in 2016 while being campaign manager for current vice-president Isatou Touray as the race to unseat former leader now exiled, gathered pace.

As a coalition was formed later toppling the incumbent, Bojang found herself in the merger as Touray became a key stakeholder of the formation in the immediate aftermath of the polls.

However, revealing a moving moment, the activist -cum spokesperson said she was left feeling humiliated when asked out during a cabinet meeting.

“I was singled out and asked to go out of the cabinet meeting. I felt humiliated and felt pain in my heart as I waited for the meeting to end. Later, I was told Barrow has offered me a job to continue working with him as his director of press at the palace,” she told Fatoumatta Corker of Elitemedia.
