Jammeh’s Victim Who Was Beaten to Near Death Returns after Undergoing Treatment

Jammeh’s victim Nogoi Njie who endured serious bashing in the hands of thugs of the erstwhile leader has returned.

A staunch UDP backer, Nogoi was maltreated under Jammeh’s reign for daring to take to the streets.

She was part of Yellows’ supporters who filled up the streets of Kairaba Avenue along with top dog Ousainou Darboe demanding release of their late colleague Solo Sandeng.

Solo mobilised like-minded blokes to stage demonstration requesting for electoral reforms.

The move stirred up an angry reaction from Jammeh’s spies who targeted the group, swooping in on them rounding up dozens.

Nogoi’s group followed in protest as armed police again raided, arresting and trialing those caught.

Telling of her ordeal, Mrs. Njie told a body probing right violations under the previous rule how she was beaten to near death.

Fighting back sobs, she revealed being stretched on a table with hands tied to the back and getting battered.

Medical examination was carried out on her with overseas treatment recommended for her recuperation.

She has now returned to Banjul with another victim Oumie Jagne from Turkey having being declared fit by doctors in Instanbul.
