Gambia have climbed up in the FIFA rankings following its maiden qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations.
The rankings made public by FIFA today had the Scorpions going up by five places -forty fifth in Africa, 152nd in the World.
It took an Assan Ceesay’s goal to get Tom Siantfiet’s charges up there against Angola with a game to spare – an outcome of which ended in a meaningless defeat.
The groupings are yet to be done with a whole lot of countries vying for the continental showpiece.
