Mai Fatty has given the thumbs up to Ousainou Darboe after the veteran got given the all-clear by UDP to rival Barrow for State House.
Gambia is set to go to the polls with State House up for grabs with a date yet to be picked.
The two were mates and formed a merger years go but went their separate ways and were also in government under the current status quo before they left with Darboe on controversial terms while Mai resigned.
And reacting to Darboe’s reported election as UDP’s flag-bearer, Mai said on his timeline: “According to UDP sources, it has elected a flag bearer for Elections 2021. On behalf of GMC, I have the honour to congratulate Hon. Ousainu Numukunda Darboe, on his election as the UDP presidential candidate for 2021 elections.”
