President Barrow has asked newly appointed judges Momodou SM Jallow Landing Sanneh to star in their roles without fear to help restore public’s backing in the country’s judiciary.
Jallow and Sanneh were sworn today in an undertaking taking numbers of Gambian senior judges to 17.
Gambia’s justice system is walking towards regaining its lost reputation tainted under Jammeh’s rule and the appointment of the said individuals, Barrow believes will aid in restoring public confidence.
“I must challenge you to commit to serving the nation with honour and to the best of your ability.
“Your commitment and desire to serve professionally, without fear or favour, will go a long way in giving hope to the public sector and ensuring that set results are achieved,” Barrow said.
