Petition to Include Jammeh’s Picture at National Assembly Gaining Momentum

Momentum is gathering pace by a group hoping to see Jammeh’s picture posted amongst portraits of the country’s erstwhile leaders at parliament.

Pictures of Barrow and Jawara could be seen in the legislators’ building but none could be seen of Jammeh presently.

And worried by this, a certain Ousman K made it his business this week to launch an online campaign hoping to drum up public support to have Yaya’s portrait returned to the NA complex.

Jammeh departed Gambia January 2017 upon losing grip on power to Adama Barrow whom he lost to in the December 2016 polls.

Installed in 1994 after a bloodless coup launched by Sana B. Sabally, Jammeh would become Gambia’s leader for 22 years during time of which he registered infrastructural growth but along with notoriety for right abuses and killings,
