BREAKING NEWS: Gambia Confirms 2 Corona Cases Today

Gambia have registered two more coronavirus positive cases today.

It comes after government relaxed it restrictions and ordering re-opening of public places including markets and places of worship.

The two patients, all being Gambians returning from Senegal and Guinea Bissau are already undergoing quarantining.

“Case 027 is a 20-year-old male Gambian who recently returned to the country after being in Guinea Bissau. He was taken into quarantine on the 5th June after being reported to the COVID-19 response team through the 1025 toll-free hotline. His sample was collected on the 6th of June and a positive test result was received on the 7th June.

“Case 028 is a 38-year-old male Gambian who recently returned to the country from Dakar, Senegal. He was taken into quarantine on the 5th June after being reported to the COVID-19 response team through the 1025 toll-free hotline,” “His sample was collected on the 6th of June and a positive test result was received on the 7th June,” health officials said in a statement minutes ago.
