David Colley today pulled off a stunt in his ongoing testimony that hilariously left him exposed.
Former boss of Gambian’s correction centre, Colley has been the subject of mockery since start of his testimony.
The first incident of hilarity centered around his understanding of issues as the investigating truth commission unmasked him as the prison supremo who never knew regulations of reformation.
Considered the most difficult witness ever summoned to the rights violations probing body owing to his poor understanding of subject matters, David today pulled off yet another stunt, arguably the finest since start of his testimony.
Grilled by commission’s star counsel, Essa M Faal, Colley was asked to draft up a list of chain of command of wardens handling prisoners’ matters.
A paper was handed out to him for the piecing down and David got to work lowering his head over the paper.
At this time Faal had thought Colley was writing up names until the paper was taken from him. It turned out the former prison boss pieced nothing apart from claiming he doesn’t know.
Laughter erupted immediately.
Sitting continues.
