“If I’m Given Responsibility to Organize Barrow’s Convoy, I Will Include Helicopter, Gunships and Drones,” Says Ex- Jammeh Aide Gano

Former aide of Yaya Jammeh Lamin Gano says he could have a helicopter, gunship or drone included in Barrow’s convoy if he were to organise it.

Educated in the UK, Gano’s comment comes on the back of the TRRC’s switch of subject to Jammeh’s 40 convoy accidents.

TRRC, a commission probing violations under Yaya Jammeh’s regime, yesterday heard how the nation’s ex-leader got involved in ghastly accidents and causing deaths.

Lamin Saidykhan, a soldier testifying yesterday recalled how intestines of a convoy victim “littered” on the road having been crushed.

However, Lamin Gano an ex- Jammeh aide has come out defending his exiled boss even offering to organise Barrow’s convoy.

” I believe that Jammeh’s convoy was one of the coolest, best, smartest and the most professional in the whole wide world.

“The presidency is the highest office in a country and therefore it deserves nothing but the best and most hardcore VIP protection team. If I am giving the responsibility to plan and organize Barrow’s convoy, I will include helicopter gunships and drones.

“I also believe that thousands of Gambians enjoyed watching Jammeh’s convoy as they used to rush to the highways just to see his convoy. They were not afraid/scared of his convoy.”
