“If Barrow Offers Me A Ministerial Position I Will Not Take,” Says Batchilly

Gambia Action Party’s top dog Musa Yali Batchilly insists he isn’t ardent on working with Barrow.

Batchilly believes if he had his way he would have guided sitting president Barrow but won’t be bothered taking up a ministerial position.

“I will never work for him. I don’t need to work with him but if Barrow fails, we all fail. Those surrounding Jammeh were hungry. They fed themselves and they will never allow anybody to come next to him. Mr. president listen to me proper. If you wanna succeed, you come to GAP,” he said.

The GAP founder was speaking recently in the immediate aftermath of a leaked nude video alleged to be of his party’s presidential flag-bearer Lamin Bojang.

The party have been locked in talks over the crisis with Bojang going to lengths of involving Interpol over the issue.

Switching to the current issues regarding the government and whether he will consider picking up a portfolio when offered it, he said: “If Barrow offers me a ministerial position I will not take because then I will be compromising my integrity.”
