“NPP Are Desperately Searching for People,” Says APRC Spokesperson

Former ruling party’s spokesperson Dodou Jah has labelled president Barrow’s camp as “desperate”.

The Standard Newspaper made buzz when it carried a story suggesting Barrow is in talks with the APRC over possibility of an alliance for next elections.

Reports of the two camps merging have been on the surface the last three years and their leaders went on a drama of affection display when they met twice last year during a political tour.

However, today, Standard claim Barrow’s camp have reached out to the APRC to back them for the coming polls, part of a condition of which could see exiled Yaya Jammeh return untried.

However, Dodou seems to pour cold water on the rumour but confirmed some NPP bigwigs have reached to the greens’ party over the issue but not at executive level.

Calling, the incumbent’s camp desperate, Dodou said: “Come 2021 APRC will be the decider that is why most of them are coming after us.

” There are three parties who want to work with us. NPP are desperately searching for people. We are not desperately searching for people to come to the APRC. They’re looking for people not us.”
