CORONA: Macky Sall Extends State of Emergency to June

Macky Sall has extended the current state of emergency over the coronavirus in Senegal to 30 more days.

The new development means the order loosens in June as the French speaking West African nation intensify its effort to curb the coronavirus.

There has been a curfew imposed restricting movement from 8pm-6am. The decision, announced an hour, takes effect today.

Senegal have 1,182 confirmed cases of the coronavirus with nine dying as 32 patients recover from the ailment affecting over three million people and killing over 200,000 globally.
