Niamina East lawmaker Omar Touray has ridiculed Gambia’s vice-president, claiming she needs “orientation”.
Doubling as a rights activist for women, the country’s number two Isatou Touray was this week the subject of mockery.
Before this she came on the receiving end of a barrage of derides after she asked Gambian youth become labourers in the wake of the Covid-19 stimuls.
And this week, she came again for severe trolling online after her efforts to pronounce Quranic words turned a disastrous enterprise.
Barrow’s deputy’s tone has come to be translated as hostile from most quarters leading lawmaker Omar Ceesay into suggesting she needs “orientations”.
“The Gambia Vice president Dr. Isatou Touray needs orientations as to the manner she should comport herself and guard her language whenever she is to address the citizenry because enough is enough to her devastating statements,” he said.
